Tommyguns nature inspired haircare

I am so excited to have my hands on this haircare range again.

About 4 years ago, I came across TommyGuns haircare in Boots. I was attracted by the unusual packaging and the colours too! I smelt them all and loved them all :) I have never found a haircare range that smells so strong and powerful. I don’t think they sold very well as after less than a year they were off the shelves – probably because they were always found on the bottom shelf and never on promotion. I have been trying to find these ever since and was delighted when a PR company got in touch offering me some samples.

The haircare range consists of shampoos, conditioners, treatments and styling products. They are grouped in five varying hair types;

  • Thirsty, dry & coloured: Jasmine, Wild Nettle & Sweet Almond
  • Normal: Pomegranate, Orange Flower & Hemp
  • Oily & confused: Sage, Basil & Yogurtene
  • Thin: Blueberry, Ginseng & Honey
  • Frizzy & unruly: Fig, Plum & Marshmallow

I am not ashamed to say I have tried them all! I can’t decide upon my favourite as they all smell divine. The fig, plum & marshmallow range leaves my hair really sleek and shiny but the blueberry, ginseng & honey range gives my hair that extra oomph it sometimes lacks.

The samples I was sent were the Jasmine, Wild Nettle & Sweet Almond shampoo and conditioner for dry hair which is perfect for these winter months as my hair feels particularly undernourished. The first thing you will notice is the scent – it reminds me of something from Neals Yard Remedies or Aromatherapy Associates. The shampoo lathers really well. I tend to leave the conditioner on for a minute or so and comb through my hair. When you rinse it off your hair squeaks it is that clean :)

When you style your hair it looks so healthly and shiny. I was also sent their Weather Protect Dew Drops Serum. You only need a couple of drops of this clear serum on damp hair, and it leaves you with shine that stays for hours. It also helps protect your hair in this yukky British weather, so when it rains your hair doesn’t alter at all – miracle in a bottle that stuff!

I’m totally hooked again; and whilst I swear by L’Anza products for those special occasions, this is my go to product for everyday use.

You can buy these on asos as well as in Waitrose. I urge you to try these – you will never use another everyday shampoo. Next on my list is their Climate Control Styling Spray, Volumising Mousse and the Blueberry, Ginseng & Honey shampoo and conditioner.

    I am having trouble finding Tommy Guns Miraculous Volumising Mousse and whilst searching various web sites, without success, I came across your article mentioning Tommy Guns. I looked on asos and waitrose sites but it does not appear. Can you supply me with a contact who may be able to help me.
    Thank you in anticipation.
