HealGel – does what it promises

hg face

The lovely ladies from @BabushkaComms contacted me recently as they know how important my skin is to me :) They wanted to tell me all about the new HealGel skin product. I read through the information they sent me and said YES to trying a sample…

There are three products available so far; HealGel Intensive (£37.50), HealGel Eye (£32.00) and HealGel Face (£48.00). I was sent the face one to try.

HealGel Face is an anti-ageing serum which has been created by a team of plastic and cosmetic surgeons to smooth, firm and replenish skin to deliver plumper, smoother and more revitalised looking skin. You can read more about their journey and discovery here.

The face product acts like the HealGel Intensive which helps to rescue unhappy skin, but also takes it to the next level! I read the ingredients which includes arnica (used to help bruising) and Salicylic Acid (which I have found to be a huge help in clearing my skin). The product also contains Omega Oils to replenish dehydrated skin and restore elasticity.

I was nervous to try this as my skin was just recovering from a large bout of spots which had left red marks all over my cheeks and jawline. Also, when trying a new skincare product I know by the next day whether it agrees with me or not. If a product disagrees with my skin I will wake the next day with spots and/or rashes. So, when trying this the other night after my normal cleansing routine, I only applied a very small amount (think the size of a small pearl earring) but was amazed by how far it went.

I massaged it into my skin thoroughly. The scent was beautiful; very aromatic – like I was receiving a facial at a spa :) and the texture was like a luxurious serum such as Estee Lauders Idealist or Advanced Night Repair.

When I woke the next day I was truly amazed! The red marks had reduced by around 70% all over my skin. I had one large spot that had been trying to heal over for days with no progress, and it had almost disappeared.

I wouldn’t have ordinarily tried this product as it seems to target anti ageing and whilst this is a concern of mine, it’s not my main one. I desire to have spot free, clear, glowing skin and it seems 3 days in to using this overnight I will get there soon!

Thanks HealGel and @BabushkaComms x
