Healing Time
0As most of you know by now, my hair is pretty important to me – just in a way that I always want it to look shiny and healthy, but hey who doesn’t. Finding the right hair products to deliver this is tricky and as a beauty blogger I must try about 3-5 new products per month; the bulk of them being a disappointment.
A haircare range that never disappoints me is L’Anza. The only downfall being the availability to buy offline (selected salons only) and the price range is on the higher end of the scale – but worth every penny I may add.
The ONLY Hair Oil you will need
1I was lucky enough to be sent a sample of the L’Anza Keratin Healing Oil Hair Treatment. L’Anza is my fave haircare brand and when my budget will stretch, I choose the Healing Strength range which strengthens and provides volume like no other.
Umberto Giannini – Backcomb In A Bottle

Wow…am I glad I tried this?! After gaining a £5 haircare voucher from Boots the other week I thought i’d try something new. I was tempted by the packaging which looks very glam and would suit my bedroom make-up table! But also loved the smell…very sexy and perfumed but not overpowering.
I paid my £0.49 towards this and was hoping I’d made the right purchase with my voucher. Oh my, did i! I like my hair to look full of body and volume, and tend to rely on dry shampoo and other powders to lift my hair. I tried this on dry, finished hair and simply sprayed upwards into my hair, ruffling with my fingertips…the look was amazing! Full, lifted, matte, messy…very on trend.
I now use this everyday instead of a hairspray or wax. It can be used throughout the day too if you want a perk. I can’t recommend this enough…you must try it! Oh, and I think Boots have 3 products for £10 on this range at the moment so why not shop there. I can’t wait to try their other ‘glam hair’ products.
Have you tried it?
30 Beauty Tips Learnt in 30 Years
1
I am now officially 30 years old, although I feel 24! I’ve been using make-up and picking up tips and advice for over 16 years now so thought this would be a great opportunity for me to share some of the things i’ve learnt along the way with you all.
L’Oreal Casting Creme Gloss (aka The Best Blue/Black Hair)
3My hair is naturally darkest of browns, but in the summer months has a tendency to go somewhat auburn in the sunlight…which I hate! I don’t like damaging my hair so never use permanent hair colours, and even when I have salon semi-perms (at quite an expense) I find the auburn shine through in a matter of weeks. So, I turned to home hair colouring and have never looked back!
Get the Beach Look in Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter…
3As you’ve probably read, I am now a hug L’Anza haircare fan!
Amongst some goodies recently received, was their very own Beach Spray. This excited me as I now have long hair and am experimenting much more with various styles.
I first tried this at my hairdressers (Scott Beszick) in front of a watchful audience – well, a few clients! Applied to dry hair, this instantly transformed my straight hair to natural, wavy, sexy locks!
Salon Hair at Home with L’Anza
1My hairdresser, Scott Beszick Hairdressing, has been selling L’Anza haircare throughout 2010 and has tried numerous products on me when i’ve been in the salon. I always loved the products but found they were of high price and me being me I would want to buy a full range to try….not just a shampoo along to them follow with other brand conditioner and products.
I was so excited when I heard they wanted me to try some of their products and yesterday, I was lucky enough to receive a box of goodies!
Part of the Scott Cornwall Team
2Last month, I was contacted by Scott Cornwall hairdressing who was working on a new range of hair products previously used in salons to launched onto the high street.
I am so excited to be on the panel of 5 (thanks Scott & team!) and couldn’t even wait for the products to be sent to me. During a weekly visit to Sainsbury’s whilst I was purchasing a semi-permanent hair dye, I noticed the new range on the bottom shelf in the haircare aisle. With a 25% store-wide offer, I picked up the B4U pre-colour treatment for under £3.
Redken Body Full is Beauti Full!
0Redken have been super kind once again and have sent me some Body Full shampoo and conditioner to try.
I swear by their All Soft range as it offers silky smooth hair all year round, and gives mirror like shine. However, as my hair is getting longer I wanted to give it some oomph! Although All Soft will still remain my favourite, the Body Full range is great for the one off occassion.
Fringe Benefits?
4As you know, I have been growing my fringe out all summer which has been quite frustrating and resulted in changing looks each week.
Up until about 5 years ago, I didn’t have a fringe but decided to take the plunge one Saturday. Since then, I’ve felt confident and much prettier with a fringe. However, I have been advised and tempted by my hairdresser to grow the full fringe out and adopt an on-trend style (see other related article here).
Just the part (ing)!
1I’ve been working with Scott Beszick Hairdressing for a few years now. I first visited Scott sporting an on trend ‘pob’ which was the shortest haircut i’d ever had. I just couldn’t get used to it and wanted it long, fast!
Two years down the line, and I now have the hair that I have dreamt of for years. Long, thick with lots of movement. This is all thanks to Scott. He has transformed my short bob to this through ever-changing styles that have always been on trend and suited to my face and style.
Luxury coconut scented hairbrush by Denman
0I have just been sent a bag of goodies from Denman…the only hairbrush brand in my opinion! I was given my first Denman hairbrush (the paddle style) when I was 18 over 10 years ago now, and it made my hair so silky, fresh and very shiny that I haven’t bought another brand since!
I use the comb on wet hair to detangle, the barrel brush to provide volume and movement and the classic styling brushes to refresh throughout the day (and to tame my fringe which is going through a growing out phase).
