Vlog: A video log. A journalistic video documentation on the web of a person’s life, thoughts, opinions, and interests.

So, as you can see I haven’t created a blog post since 31st January. It’s a poor show. Why? I hear you ask. Well, it’s this precious thing called time; I have little of it at the moment and beauty blogging needs a lot of it!

Fake Bake

Go Beyond Bronze

1

I do love a good fake tan. I’ve used St Tropez for years and loved how natural it looks…and for those months where i’m penny pinching the £3 St Moriz is (dare I say it) just as good. Yet, after a girly shopping trip with my best friend Amanda, I was introduced to Beyond Bronze by Fake Bake in a local Boots store. And this is now my new fave.

Take a Freshlook at Eye Colour

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted bright blue eyes! It’s so true that you want what you don’t have!! I think there’s something so beautiful and striking about the contrast between black hair and blue eyes. Think Megan Fox, Liv Tyler…my boyfriend!! ;-)

Well, it’s the New Year and although my mind and body feel refreshed and eager to start a positive 2011, my eyes are telling a different story! I don’t know about you, but I look shattered! Maybe it’s the first week back at work thing?

I’m not too worried though….my boyfriend loves me no matter how I look (thankfully) and I have Benefit Cosmetics by my side to conceal and correct!

Happy New Year!

1

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to post a little Happy New Year message to you all :-)

Hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and gained some nice beauty products to play with? Tell me what you got…

2010 was the year I started out in the world of blogging! Launched in late Summer, I started posting my You Tube videos on here and the odd make-up tip. From there, it’s escalated quite a bit and I now have companies sending me products to try, review and offer tips on – who’d have thought?!

I’m entering 2011 with a heap of enthusiastic energy! I’ve started the year with a newly designed website (what do you think of the nude colour scheme?) and a company logo. I wanted to give my site more of a personality and offer companies and followers an image to identify me with too.

I have lots planned for 2011, including more videos and potential partnerships with my fave brands!

I’d love to hear what more you’d like to see though….any particular brands I’ve not talked about? Or perhaps you fancy a forum on here to get chatting? Whatever you want, just let me know :-)

I wouldn’t have got here without you though, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, watching, re-tweeting and following! Thank You! x

Lumie Clear Box

Start 2011 with Lumie Clear Skin

0

I’m now on week 7 of 12 on my Lumie Clear skincare trial. Hopefully, you’ve been following my progress on You Tube each week.

The results have been fantastic for me; and my skin is about 85% better than it was 7 weeks ago. The first thing you will notice is the reduction in redness and inflammation. Then, over the weeks, the spots fade quicker and you don’t get new ones as often. It works by using blue and red LED lights which kill the bacteria (blue light) and soothe inflammation as well as healing the skin (red light). The best thing about this, is there are no side effects which you would find with treatments such as prescriptive medication and creams.

Tron Inspired Make-Up Tutorial

My boyfriend is very excited for the new Tron movie to come out later this month; I’m not so much excited! However, after seeing the poster with actress Olivia Wilde and loving her make-up I thought it would be good to show you girls how to re-create this look for the upcoming festive parties!

The look is lots of black, navy and silver eye make-up, blue/silver highlighted skin and nude cheeks and lips. A great look for parties.

Lumie Clear Skin Trial

2

As my skin has been far from clear for the past few months, I was excited to read an advertorial in Look magazine not so long ago for a new light treatment. Lumie (the company who primarily make the lights for SAD) are the first – as far as I am aware – company to create a product of salon/clinic quality which can be bought on the high street and used at home.

It’s da bomb!

After a) being sent a goodie bag from my absolute favourite make-up brand, Benefit and b) being on a bit of a low, feeling pasty and run down I decided a trip to the Benefit counter at Debenhams in The White Rose was needed!

I met a lovely, patient, helpful young lady at the counter and told her all about how I used to fake tan alot but am now adopting the pale look, yet need some help in adjusting my make-up colour palette as a result.

Foxy Lady!

0

Benefit Cosmetics describe their Foxy Lady lipgloss as “diamond rose”…it’s as pretty as it sounds and oh so much more!

I have tended to stick with the trusted ‘Kiss Me’ lipgloss from Benefit, as it offers a natural pink sheen, with a touch of lilac that seems to brighten your whole face. However, I needed something new…something different…something special for Autumn.

Modern Fricton

Modern Day Girls need some friction in their lives!

0

One product I just can’t live without is Origins Modern Friction. When this first launched in 2008, I was already using the Checks & Balances face wash and Perfect World moisturiser and was very pleased with the results. It was when microdermabrasion became very popular on the high street and everyone wanted a share of the limelight.

Origins advertising promised a huge % increase in skin quality; this coupled with the natural ingrediants drove me to purchase the product. It retailed at about £30 which I initially thought was quite expensive but knew it would be better quality than the other cheaper products on offer.

Pale Skin

Pale & Interesting?

1

Being naturally (very) dark haired, I have always tried to have a deep olive skintone using fake tans or by sunbathing. However, as I have become increasingly busier over the last year, I struggle to find the time for either! Also, I haven’t wanted to clog my pores by self tanning as I’ve been having regular breakouts.
