My hairdresser, Scott Beszick Hairdressing, has been selling L’Anza haircare throughout 2010 and has tried numerous products on me when i’ve been in the salon. I always loved the products but found they were of high price and me being me I would want to buy a full range to try….not just a shampoo along to them follow with other brand conditioner and products.

I was so excited when I heard they wanted me to try some of their products and yesterday, I was lucky enough to receive a box of goodies!

The box contained: Powder Up, Healing Volume Shampoo, Conditioner & Thickening Treatment, Trauma Treatment and a beach sea salt spray. They are all amazing and I am 100% converted! I will produce seperate reviews and tutorials, but wanted to share an overall view of these beforehand.

The shampoo and conditioner first of all, are so lush to use. The product itself is really creamy and has a lovely little sparkle to it. Although SLS free, the product lathers really well and results in occassionally only one wash is required (I usually wash once for product removal, then again to clean thoroughly). It has left my hair feeling full of natural volume, but never heavy and I have been using this daily for about two weeks now. This would be the point where other volume shampoo’s drag my hair down.

The thickening treatment, in the same range, is applied to wet hair after washing and provides easy to style, volumed hair which feels silky to touch.

Finally, in terms of styling, the Powder Up texturiser is by far the best volume producing, dry shampoo powder I’ve ever used. I have created a how to tutorial on You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc6JfzoavI4) so you can see how best to use this and the amazing effects. The outcome I like most from using this product, is you can manipulate your hair hour after hour to create even more style and volume. It is almost as though the style performs better as the day/night progresses.

I dye my hair every few months, to increase the shine of my naturally black hair more than anything, and hear that applying the Trauma Treatment to wet hair increases the length in which the colour stays on your hair. So far, so good with this product also. When my hair has felt and looked particularly dry on the ends. I have applied a small amount to dry hair (brushing through) before going to bed. I then awake to wash my hair, and am left with immaculate, conditioned hair. Nothing seems to compare to this.

The beach spray was the other styling product sent to me for review, and again I am very happy with the performance of this. Applied to towel dried hair, this reacts immediately creating waves that stay strong with minimal drop. I previously used the Fudge salt spray which I love; this differs by creating waves and curls the second it has contact with your hair, rather than developing over time as your hair dries. This will be perfect for Spring/Summer.

So, all in all, a fantastic experience has been had with all products and am dying to try more to understand which products will best suit me as part of my daily routine.

L’anza haven’t been very well known to date in terms of consumer consumption; as their presence has predominently been in salons. However, they are now on Twitter and Facebook so why not join them and get to know them, and their products a little more. You will not be dissapointed.
